Prefer Nothing to the Work of God
ALL are welcome to join us in prayer

The Triduum begins with a Seder meal on Holy thursday at 4 p.m., March 24 and ends with Easter Sunday Mass at 10 a.m.

If interested, contact Sister Mary at (630) 750-6010 or Email Sr. Mary

Holy Thursday - Evening Mass of the Lord’s Supper
Mass of the Lord’s Last Supper will begin at 7 p.m.
The Mass will end with a procession with the Blessed Sacrament.
The Blessed Sacrament will remain at the side altar until 10 p.m.

Friday of the Passion of the Lord - Services begin at 3 p.m.
The service consists of the Liturgy of the Word, Veneration of the CROSS, and the Reception of Communion.

Tenebrae 6:30 p.m. on Friday
The word ‘tenebrae’ is Latin for shadows. The purpose of the Tenebrae service is to recreate the emotional aspects of the passion story, so this is not supposed to be a happy service, because the occasion is not happy. There are as many candles as there are readings, plus a white Christ candle. The readers go up one at a time, read their assigned selections, and extinguish one of the candles, until only the Christ candle remains.>

The Easter Vigil in the Holy Night - Mass is at 8 p.m.
The blessing of the fire and lighting of the Easter Candle will take place outside in front of the Benedale Entrance

Easter Sunday of the Resurrection of the Lord – Mass is at 10 a.m.
Alleluia! Christ is Risen!
