Byzantine Benedictine Sisters
Oblates

An Oblate of Saint Benedict is a man or woman who becomes associated with the Benedictine Sisters in Warren for the purpose of growing closer to God. The Rule that Saint Benedict wrote to guide his monastics is studied, and its principles are applied to the family life, social life, and work life of the Oblate.

Because much of the Rule of Benedict quotes Scripture, Oblates grow in their knowledge of the Person of Christ and desire to bring Christ's attitude to the events of their daily life.

Although Queen of Heaven Monastery follows the Byzantine Catholic Rite, an Oblate does not have to be Byzantine Catholic.

WHY BECOME AN OBLATE

You will join with people who take their spiritual life seriously. The give-and-take of the meetings and the sharing on a deep level are a great help in keeping priorities straight and life balanced.

If you are interested in becoming an Oblate, contact Sister Agnes at 330-856-1813
